Malta, 26 April 2019 – United Group today hosted its annual CSR event: a Fun For All Day for residents of day centres, organised at Ta Qali Basketball complex in collaboration with voluntary organisation GMPR. United Group employees and GMPR volunteers together welcomed over 350 day centre members for a day of organised sports activities intended to foster greater integration between day centre members and the general public. 
H.E Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President Emeritus of Malta paid a visit to the event, lending her support to the initiative. “These jewels of ours give us so much happiness and make our country so special. United Group and a lot of their employees, as well as GMPR, came specifically to help during this activity. I am inspired by and admire the work of organising this, which is undertaken with such a big heart,” said President Emeritus Colerio Preca. CEO of Agenzjia Support Mr. Joe Cini thanked the President Emeritus for her hard work in this sector, which continues today. Representing Mons. Archbishop Charles Scicluna, Monsignor Charles Cordina, Episcopal Vicar for Diaconia blessed the opening of the event, expressing a wish for all participants to experience the joy of working together. 
“Members of day centres need the support of their community, and we believe it is our responsibility to provide this,” commented Edmund Gatt Baldacchino, CEO and Director of United Group. “I am proud of our team for organising this event with enthusiasm and dedication. We are also grateful to GMPR for providing us with an opportunity to focus on the needs of others, and to use our time and resources to contribute to their wellbeing.” 
The event was packed with sports, entertainment and fun activities, organised by GMPR together with staff from Aġenzija Sapport. Activities on the day were designed to promote fun and inclusion, from golf and basketball to singalongs and tug of war.
