United Department Stores Limited was set-up to operate the Debenhams franchisee for the Maltese Islands .

Debenhams has a strong presence in key product categories including womenswear, menswear, homeware, health and beauty, accessories, lingerie and childrenswear.  A unique mix of exclusive own brands, including 25 Designers at Debenhams, and third-party brands differentiates Debenhams from its competitors.  Debenhams has a successful portfolio of approximately 55 own brands, such as Debut, Maine New England, Red Herring and Thomas Nash.

Debenhams is scheduled to open at The Point Shopping Center as the anchor tenant of this new shopping mall scheduled to open in 2010.
